Thymeli...
The name is inspired by the structure of the same name found in the Asclepieion of Epidaurus, a healing center of the ancient Greek world.
The Thymeli, or otherwise known as the Tholos of Epidaurus, was a flawless astronomical monument bearing the mark of Asclepius, the god of medicine in antiquity, and his father, Apollo, the god of spiritual light.
The circular shape of the building (which to this day holds the reputation of being the most perfect circular structure of ancient Greek architecture), as well as the labyrinthine design of its underground chambers, highlights the chthonic nature of Asclepius, allowing its interpretation as a structure housing his subterranean dwelling.
According to myth, the god would heal his faithful followers from within the earth.
The concept of a healing center in ancient Greece was very different from what we know today — proper nutrition, therapeutic baths, herbal medicines, and purification preparations were all part of the process, so that the patient could receive the visitation — the healing — of the god Asclepius. Essentially, medicine of that era was holistic, involving mystical rituals aimed at achieving both physical and spiritual cleansing.
About Herbs...
The plant kingdom provides nearly everything our body needs for a balanced way of life.
An integral part of it are herbs, which have been used by humans for thousands of years for nourishment, healing, beauty, clothing, and more.
Thymeli products were created based on the principles of herbalism and a holistic approach. They evolved through observation and were perfected through the knowledge gained from years of experience.
Originally produced as handmade items on a very small scale, production gradually increased—while maintaining the same quality and, most importantly, their core principle: respect for nature and the human being.
